My media career started as a writer and podcast creator for the Broomfield High School (CO) student newspaper.

My passion for this work continued at Colorado State University and the student-run radio station, 90.5 KCSU-FM, where I hosted on-air music shows as well as taught students how to make and maintain podcasts.

During my Junior and Senior years I was the lead podcast editor and supported podcast projects covering national and local music, sports and news. I continued hosting on-air shows and interviewed people of interest around campus and Fort Collins.

Hired as an advocate for DEI in the arts and culture within the nonprofit community in Colorado.

• Interned with Diversity in the Arts, hired as seasonal staff after 3 months.
• Supports performances and community events by providing engaging guest services, including ticketing, selling merchandise, and audience development for crowds up to 6,500+ people; flyering and street team for upcoming events.
• Assists audio crew with microphones, stands, and band load-in, set-up with cabling.
• Digital advertising, marketing, and copy-editing with short-form social media content creation.

90.5 KCSU-FM Radio Station, Fort Collins, CO

Staff Disc Jockey - October 2021 - May 2025

Responsible for hosting and managing a radio program, selecting music and engaging with listeners.

• Hosted a weekly radio show discussing queer discourse and culture ("Slouch Couch") and played music from LGBTQ+ artists, as well as interviewed people of various queer identities.
• Hosted "Live & Local", interviewing and live sound-mixing local bands' performances, as well as edited video and audio using Adobe Premiere and Audition for YouTube videos and podcasts of the performances, wrote and edited the copy.
• Emcee experience through FoCoMX and KCSU music festivals; participated in campus-wide events and tabling, handing out flyers and speaking to prospective volunteers.

Podcast Director - August 2023 - May 2025

Hired to direct all aspects of podcast creation and delivery from pre-production to post-production and beyond.

• Worked closely with local music, music, and sports departments and clients to create unique and quality content for live on-air performances and post-production podcasts (1200+ downloads), music updates and history podcasts (2600+ downloads), and monthly sports updates podcasts (500 downloads).
• Used radio automation software Zetta and multi-station music scheduling software G-Selector with weekly broadcasted podcast content; edited, produced, wrote copy, and published recorded podcasts using Adobe Audition and WordPress; recorded media, edited, and sound-mixed for live in-studio performances; used Transistor.fm to study analytics and improve engagement.
• Spearheaded the use of Otter.ai to add transcriptions of many podcasts to increase accessibility.

Assistant Podcast Director - August 2022 - May 2023

• Played a crucial role in bridging creative ideas and practical logistics to effectively run podcast operations; edited and published podcasts; trained students how to create their own podcasts. After 1 year, promoted to Podcast Director for 2 years.

Coordinated student recruitment efforts and promoted RMSMC to increase enrollment.

• Enthusiastically reached out to prospective media students who wished to get involved in student media; set up meetings and provided prospects with information about departments and training; promoted at various admission events and tours.
