My media career started as a writer and podcast creator for the Broomfield High School (CO) student newspaper.

My passion for this work continued at Colorado State University and the student-run radio station, 90.5 KCSU-FM, where I hosted on-air music shows as well as taught students how to make and maintain podcasts.

During my Junior and Senior years I was the lead podcast editor and supported podcast projects covering national and local music, sports and news. I continued hosting on-air shows and interviewed people of interest around campus and Fort Collins.

Hired as an advocate for DEI in the arts and culture within the nonprofit community in Colorado.

• Created and edited digital marketing content for social media campaigns, combining copywriting, design (Canva), and video editing (Premiere Pro) to drive audience engagement.
• Supported live audio production by setting up microphones, stands, and cabling; ensured optimal sound quality through knowledge of XLR/TRS cables and signal flow; operated Blackmagic Design cameras to coordinate visuals for live performances.
• Delivered exceptional guest experiences at concerts and community events for 6,500+ attendees by managing ticketing, merchandise sales, and audience engagement; promoted upcoming events through flyering and street team outreach.

90.5 KCSU-FM Radio Station, Fort Collins, CO

Staff Disc Jockey - October 2021 - May 2025

Responsible for hosting and managing a radio program, selecting music and engaging with listeners.

• Hosted a weekly radio show discussing queer discourse and culture ("Slouch Couch") and played music from LGBTQ+ artists, as well as interviewed people of various queer identities. Experience with multi-task on-air hosting, music and promotion organizing and queuing, and time management; followed FCC guidelines.
• Hosted "Live & Local", interviewing and live sound-mixing local bands' performances using an analog sound board, edited video and audio using Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition for long-form YouTube videos and podcasts of the performances, wrote and edited the copy. Experience with color correction, aspect ratios, compression, and delivery of final draft.
• Emcee experience through FoCoMX and KCSU music festivals; participated in campus-wide events and tabling, handing out flyers and speaking to prospective volunteers.

Podcast Director - August 2023 - May 2025

Hired to direct all aspects of podcast creation and delivery from pre-production to post-production and beyond.

• Partnered with local music and sports departments and community clients to produce engaging live performances and podcast content, including music features (2,600+ downloads), live performance podcasts (1,200+ downloads), and monthly sports updates (500+ downloads).
• Edited, produced, and published podcasts using Adobe Audition and WordPress; managed weekly broadcast scheduling with Zetta and G-Selector; conducted in-studio and field recordings, sound-mixed live sessions, and designed podcast artwork in Photoshop and Canva.
• Monitored analytics via Transistor.fm to improve engagement and ensured all content met editorial and production standards through thorough fact-checking; spearheaded the use of Otter.ai transcriptions to increase digital accessibility.
